I'm currently on the Intel driver, but I suspect this fix will work on the Microsoft driver too.On a related note, a lot of people running win7 and win8 report that My wifi adapter is a Full Size 2inch the newer ones are the same width but only 1" in length. If you go through your device manager and look at your drivers, I bet you'll find many of them have old dates.
